You're invited! Everything you wanted to know about purebred dogs and activities. One day only! 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., Saturday, May 10, 2008 - Free admission, free participation, free parking! American Royal Complex, Governors Exhibition Building, Kansas City, Mo. Handling classes * Grooming tips * AKC Dog Show procedures * Dog show entry assistance * Canine Good Citizen tests * Agility demonstrations * Obedience and Rally C match * AKC and local club information Schedule: 10 a.m.- closing Education programs are ongoing throughout the day 10:30 a.m. Obedience and Rally C match 1 p.m. AKC-sanctioned B all-breed match Interested in being a volunteer? Volunteers need to arrive at 8 a.m. We need:
Greeters at the door:
Volunteers welcome people as they come in the door and steer them in the
right directions according to their interests.
Vendor helpers:
Midwest Pets will be there but will need to focus on sales. Volunteers
are needed to advise people about supplies a show dog needs and how to
use them.
Group/Breed specific ambassadors:
Volunteers here will be teaching how to handle and groom. The goal is to
have people show their dogs at a fun match in the afternoon. For many it
will be a first time experience.
