Brags

Excuse the ruckus, but we can't help barking up a commotion about our dogs!

Debbie Willis gave us an update on her amazing chow chow "Angel." Last November 2007 at the Lawrence Jayhawk's AKC agility trial, Angel earned her second Open FAST agility leg with a first place. The next day, Angel finished her Open Agility Jumper title with another first place. Angel had already had one TPLO surgery for a torn cruciate ligament before earning this title and she's now recuperating for a second TPLO surgery after tearing her other one. Fantastic news, Debbie! We hope Angel is up and jumping again!

Jessica and Daniel Allen had an amazing October with their Great Dane Lobato's Fire For Effect (Caisson). Caisson took second in the 6-9 month Fawn class at the GDCA National on Oct. 24. On Oct. 22-23, 2007, Caisson took Best in Futurity at GDCA National. On Oct. 13-14, Caisson took WD, B, BOB, BOB Puppy and RWD at the Lawrence Jayhawk KC's 13th Annual Puppy Spectacular All Breed Dog Show. Caisson was owner handled all the way! To read more and see photos of this rising-star, visit Jessica and Daniel's Web site, Mercury Steel Kennel, to read more about Caisson and to see photos of this rising star. Congratulations Jessica, Daniel and Caisson!

Joyce Delay's Kaviak's Whoa Black Betty, or Betty for short, was awarded Best In Match at the SKC's Fun Match on Sept. 30, 2007. Betty is a nine-month-old Alaskan Malamute bitch, bred and handled by Joyce (Kaviak Alaskan Malamutes). In seven AKC shows, Betty  has five single points from the bred-by class. She is from a repeat breeding; the first breeding produced multiple champions and specialty grand sweepstakes winners. Click here to see Betty. Congratulations Joyce and Betty!

Debbie Willis reported a fantastic summer in the agility ring for her chow chow "Angel." In June 2007, at the Samoyed Club's AKC agility trials, Angel earned her second Open Jumpers leg and her first Open FAST leg. Both of these legs were good for placements, too. In July, at Casa de Canine's USAA agility tests, Angel earned her Performance Dog I (PDI) title. This title requires three legs in Standard, plus one leg each in Gamblers, Jumpers, pairs and Snooker. Angel's full name is a mouthful: U-AGII, U-CD "Angel" CD, RN. OA, NAJ, NF, CGC, CL1, NAC, NJC, O-TG-N, O-TN-N, PDI. Congratulations Debbie and Angel!

We'd love to show everyone how you earned these bragging rights! Send us your brags and photos!
