Membership
 

The SKC welcomes all persons interested in the organization to its meetings. Drop in for a visit. We think you'll like what you see. Confirm meeting date and time in the event meetings are rescheduled .

Regular meetings

The SKC meets every month at the Masonic Lodge in Merriam, Kan. Visitors and potential members are encouraged and always welcome to come to our meetings.

Club officers are elected annually at the June meeting. In place of the July and December meetings, a picnic or holiday party is held. During the regular October meeting, a Halloween costume contest is held with prizes awarded to dogs and owners. In lieu of the February meeting, the club meets at a local restaurant for its traditional "Westminster Watch," a fun evening watching the live broadcast of the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show.

Membership requirements

Adults and juniors interested in the sport of purebred dogs and who are in good standing with the American Kennel Club are invited to join the SKC.

All potential members must attend two meetings for a first and second reading prior to a membership vote. New members must also agree to abide by and sign a code of ethics statement.

Turn in to the membership chairperson the completed Membership application along with a dues check made payable to the Sunflower Kennel Club.

Dues

Membership dues are $15 annually for one person and $20 for a family and are due before July 1. For memberships occurring during the middle of the year, dues are prorated as noted in the membership application. Click here to renew your membership.
